From Jurassic World to Ted 2, Avengers: Age of Ultron to Mad Max: Fury Road, Star Wars: The Force Awakens to Terminator: Gensisys, we always knew that 2015 was going to be a special year for cinema, bringing together bold superhero sequels with new installments in some of the industry’s most venerable franchises for a good ol’ potent blast of nostalgia.
And hot on the heels of a new image for Age of Ultron, new stills for Genisys, Fury Road and Guy Ritchie’s retooled spy drama, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., have found their way online. And while the other two offer intriguing new looks at both respective films, it’s the still for Alan Taylor’s bold reboot that stands head and mechanical shoulders above the others by featuring the deadly T-800.
Much has been said about Terminator: Genisys in the build-up to release, with long-term fans of the seminal sci-fi franchise questioning whether the film can instigate a whole new trilogy in the way Paramount intends. That said, the very first trailer offered up a host of juicy new information to dissect, and leaves us cautiously optimistic for the studio’s new direction.
Terminator: Genisys will arrive in theaters on July 1, 2015. For now you can check out Alan Taylor’s reboot-cum-sequel along with Mad Max and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in the gallery below.
