17) Alicia Vikander
Alicia Vikander leaving this year’s Academy Awards with that Oscar was definitely a shock, especially as the majority expected it to go to Kate Winslet. However, it was a well deserved accolade for the up and coming actress who has impressed in movies like Ex Machina and the criminally underrated The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
If Assassin’s Creed pans out, the striking Swede will have conquered the blockbuster realm as well, something which looks like a very real possibility seeing as Ubisoft are already planning a sequel.
16) Tom Hardy
Say what you will about Legend, but Tom Hardy’s dual performances were absolutely terrific. His mumbling turn in The Revenant also left a mark, and while that movie’s chaotic production schedule meant he missed out on Suicide Squad, it was probably worth it for the British hunk who made the most of 2015 by also blowing us away with the spectacular Mad Max: Fury Road.
