Bullseye (Daredevil)
Shoot me, but I actually liked Bullseye’s look in 2003’s Daredevil. When you think of his comic book attire, it’s easy to confuse him with other villains and there’s nothing distinct about it. Honestly, can you tell the difference between him and Black Bolt? Here, he at least offered something fresh in an otherwise dull flick.
Okay, the bullseye on his head might’ve been a bit too on the nose for our liking, but his street thug couture straight out of a gangster movie perfectly suited his role as one of Kingpin’s goons. Also, any movie with Colin Farrell is instantly better than one without him.
All in all, it could’ve turned out a lot worse for Bullseye. He could’ve been an edgelord with a metal grill and a ‘damaged’ tattoo on his forehead, for example. Now that’s, a serious nightmare.
Deadpool (X-Men Origins: Wolverine)
Oh, boy. This one’s a real stinker of note. Not only did the filmmakers decide to stitch Deadpool’s mouth shut, but they decided to insert blades into his arms and give him Cyclop’s optic blasts [insert crying emoji face at the sheer lunacy of it all].
In another case of obvious mistaken identity, Wade Wilson turned out more like Mortal Kombat‘s Baraka than the Merc with a Mouth in this film. Yip, production companies must think all popular culture characters look exactly the same, because this happens way too often.
Fortunately, we received a more comic book-accurate version of the character in last year’s Deadpool, and all seems to be forgiven now. It’s the least that Ryan Reynolds deserved after X-Men Origins: Wolverine destroyed his dignity.
