10 Extremely Underrated Animated Comic Book Movies

While the fanboys battle it out on Facebook and Twitter about which cinematic universe is better, there's a whole bunch of animated comic book movies waiting around to be watched. Sure, some of them, such as Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, have garnered critical acclaim and legendary status, but many have also gone under the radar in a quiet fashion. I'm willing to bet that there's more than a handful that you've probably never even heard about.

Despite its cinematic successes, Marvel hasn’t quite brought over the same glory to the animated film market. While most of its efforts have been okay, Hulk Versus was the one that really meant business.

Split into two features, Hulk vs. Thor and Hulk vs. Wolverine, this title was all about smashing stuff and fighting. Sounds good, right? The latter battle, in particular, shone the brightest, especially considering the history between the two heroes. Although, it must be said that it did degenerate into the Wolverine show after a while, much like every other X-Men release.

Also, lest we forget, Hulk Versus marked the first appearance of Deadpool in a film – a monumental occasion for us all. Unfortunately, X-Men Origins: Wolverine just had to go and put the turd in the punchbowl later in the year and ruin the celebration.
