No Post-Credits Scenes
After 22 movies, Marvel fans have learned the importance of sticking around for the entirety of the credits so that we can catch both the mid and end credits sequences. For Avengers: Endgame, there were all sorts of theories about what this might be. Would the additional scenes tease Spider-Man: Far From Home? Phase Four? The introduction of the X-Men?
In the run-up to release, we were told that it didn’t have any post-credits scenes, but I’m betting that nearly all of you still stayed behind just in case there was one last surprise tucked away at the end. Well, if you did you’d be right, as a brief sound of a hammer banging on metal can be heard in the final moments of the credits. The Russos have revealed this was meant to be a reference to Iron Man, a kind of salute to the fallen hero.
In terms of the film itself, it probably made sense not to feature a teaser for what’s to come and let the audience appreciate that this is it for the Infinity Saga. Still, it definitely came as a shock that Marvel had dropped their signature move for the first time since The Avengers.
