2) Iron Fist
After Luke Cage delivered another very strong series from Marvel and Netflix, fans are more excited than ever for next year’s Defenders miniseries, which will unite the aforementioned Power Man with Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist in a small screen, street-wise version of The Avengers. Before that can happen, however, we have to meet the last name on that list first. As played by Finn Jones, Iron Fist will dabble in the kung-fu/mystical side of the MCU and looks to be a departure from the other Netflix shows.
[zergpaid]Thankfully, the first trailer demonstrates that it will retain the serious tone of its fellow Defenders-related series. There’s even a fight in a corridor, which has become a staple for Daredevil. In fact, the trailer only hints at the more other-wordly aspects of Iron Fist e.g. Danny Rand’s strangely glowing hand. We still don’t know how far it will go down this avenue, but for now, it’s probably a good idea for it to focus on the more familiar aspects of the show – New York, a troubled, grounded hero etc.
