Xbox is getting roasted online for its seemingly insensitive profile picture update on Twitter. Just a few days after the gaming brand owned by Microsoft updated its profile picture with a rainbow logo to acknowledge LGBTQ+ issues in celebration of Pride Month, the image has now been replaced by a more flame-themed version of the Xbox logo in apparent commemoration of the release of Diablo IV.
Pop Crave’s Twitter account immediately pointed out this logo change in a tweet that amassed millions of views over the weekend.

For one Twitter user, this gaffe represents Xbox going down a peg in the overall console wars.
The crying emoji was all one commentator could muster upon the realization that Xbox hadn’t even kept the Pride logo active for one week.

Back in January, Xbox boss Phil Spencer announced his intention to acquire Activision Blizzard, the company that produced Diablo IV, in a landmark $70 billion deal. The highly anticipated action role-playing game makes its way to Xbox and PlayStation consoles and PC on June 6.
