After reaching its Kickstarter goal almost eighteen months ago, The Land of Eyas has now secured a 2016 release date thanks to Rising Star Games. The publisher is teaming up with Happy Square Productions to bring the unique platform title to PC, Mac and Linux.
In The Land of Eyas gamers take on the role Eyas, a little boy wearing an oddly-styled cat outfit, who is caught in a world split between two opposing gravities. To find his way home, Eyas has to learn how to navigate the strangely beautiful world using the opposing gravitational forces and the objects he interacts with along the way. By manipulating jumps between the different gravity fields, Eyas will be able to use the additional momentum to sling-shot to new heights and access new areas.
Combining lovable 2D visuals with gravity-based platform mechanics, The Land of Eyas will have players using two opposing gravities to explore an enchanted world. Along the way you’ll experience huge sling-shot momentum jumps and avoid dangerous enemies and obstacles in search for a way Home.
Steven Hoskins, the founder of Happy Square Productions, revealed how thrilled he is to have secure the release date thanks to Rising Star Games:
The fine folks at Rising Star Games are stellar promo experts that give indie game titles the star power and attention that they deserve. They disconnect the extremely arduous and time consuming tasks of promoting games from developers, delivering well-coordinated strategies designed to showcase the joyful greatness of indie games. The gamer community is in for a jolt of indie gaming goodness thanks to Rising Star Games.
The Land of Eyas will be available this Summer for PC, Mac and Linux.
