During last night’s PlayStation All Access special on Spike TV, Naughty Dog officially revealed that they are working on a new entry in the Uncharted series for the PlayStation 4.

No information was given about this new iteration of the series outside of a brief teaser trailer, where we got to see a map and also hear a voiceover promising that revenge is coming to someone. That’s it though. This could be a prequel, it could be a sequel, heck, it could be something else entirely. Unfortunately, we know nothing about it besides that it is coming, and that it is a thing.

Though this news isn’t all that shocking, I’m still a bit surprised that Naughty Dog is continuing to run with the series. This was the company that ditched Crash Bandicoot after the PlayStation and abandoned Jak and Daxter following the PlayStation 2. Naughty Dog has typically branched out into new franchises when it comes to next-gen platforms. Perhaps The Last Of Us scratched that itch for them for now?

We will be sure to bring you more information on this new Uncharted game as it is revealed. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and leave a comment about where you think Naughty Dog will take us on their next adventure.
