Thanks to Nevada’s PlayStation Experience event, we now have our first look at Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in action. Needless to say, it’s a treat for the eyes and a beauty to behold.
Coming in at a whopping sixteen minutes in length, this debutĀ Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End demo is full of precarious situations. Although it starts off quietly, with Nathan Drake making his way through a deserted cavern that overlooks a mean-looking ocean, it’s not long before shit starts to hit the fan. Not literally, of course, but our hero soon finds himself face-to-face with ominous skeletons and is forced to use his agility to escape from cracking rock faces. That’s not the worst of it, though, because things really get hectic later on, once enemies and their bullet/shrapnel-based weapons are introduced.
We expected something impressive from Naughty Dog’s camp, and that’s exactly what we’ve received. This is a truly visceral and absolutely gorgeous trailer, which expertly presents the PlayStation 4’s graphical prowess. The gameplay looks polished and fluid, the set pieces are realistic and the game’s island setting is gorgeous, offering varied geography and lifelike lighting conditions.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be released sometime in 2015, and I, for one, cannot wait for it.
