Graham McTavish (the actor who voiced Charlie Cutter in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception) recently told his Twitter followers that started work on an unannounced video game this week, which has led to some speculation that a new Uncharted game could be in development.
The exact Tweet that McTavish sent out to his followers yesterday reads:
“For Gamers…Just back from 1st day on a new project. Very hush-hush, but I think it’s going to be rather good…..”
The Uncharted speculation that has popped in regards to this tease is mainly attributed to a prior Tweet that Graham McTavish made on January 23rd in response to a fan asking when we might see the return of Charlie Cutter. In that message McTavish replied “… #Uncharted fans, I will keep you posted!….”.
At this point it is unknown if the two Tweets are connected, which means that this is a tease might not have anything to do with an unannounced Uncharted title.
According to McTavish’s IMDb page, the actor has provided voice work for a number of video game IPs (Assassin’s Creed III, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, Infamous 2, Metro 2033, The Saboteur, Heavenly Sword, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, just to name a few). Considering the vast range of his work it is impossible to determine if this new game has anything to do with his role as Charlie Cutter.
We will keep an eye out for any updates on what Graham McTavish is working on, and let you know as soon as anything pops up.
In the meantime, let us know in the comments what you think about the possibility of a sequel to Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Is this something that you would like to see on the PlayStation Vita, PS3 (or the console’s eventual successor), or have you had enough Uncharted over the last few years?
