Square Enix has released a new promotional trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, a current-gen remaster of a Japan-exclusive PSP spinoff in the long-running JRPG series. Though it mostly consists of pre-rendered cutscenes setting up the story for the war-torn world the game takes place in, there are still a few parts showcasing the real-time battle gameplay.
The story will apparently revolve around the four main nations of the game’s world engaging in a bloody war, and goes into detail with each nation. We also get a look at some of the playable protagonists facing off against what will likely be a recurring antagonist, and a look at some of the unique abilities each will possess, ranging from projectile-based weapons like guns to more melee-centric swords.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17, 2015. We will continue to keep you updated on the game as more news is dropped, so stay tuned.
