Unlike most other technical tests and betas, Titanfall 2 is doing things in a rather unorthodox way. Rather than letting players get their hands on the game’s multiplayer for one long period, developer Respawn Entertainment is splitting the game’s technical test across two separate weekends.

The first technical test wrapped up last weekend, which was available for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (a PC test was not available due to security concerns with the possibility of data mining). With the second half of the technical test set to begin this upcoming weekend, Respawn has taken the time to hear player feedback, and has created a new blog that details upcoming changes and patches that will be coming to the game.

Some of the changes include tweaks to the pilot wall-running system; as requested by players, pilots will now accumulate and retain more speed when wall-running, making it easier to chain wallruns together. Titans will also forgo some changes; as in the first game, Titans will now recharge their dashes a little more quickly, and ‘Titan meters’ will slowly build up passively, which should help less experienced players who have had trouble calling in Titans.

Titanfall 2 is set to launch on October 28th, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Unlike the original Titanfall, there will be no version for last-gen systems.
