During the studio’s press conference today, CD Projekt confirmed that its long-anticipated, and indeed recently delayed threequel, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt will release on February 24th, 2015.
In tandem with the announcement, the Polish developer also lifted the lid on a plethora of game-related collectibles, including the soundtrack, a compendium based on the Witcher universe itself, along with a set of stickers and a map to help you navigate the Northern Kingdoms and all of their illustrious glory.
Crucially, though, the studio’s community manager, Marcin Momot, has stated that the aforementioned bonus content will not be exclusive to a special edition of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and will instead be included in every copy of the game when it ships at the beginning of 2015.
Not only that, CD Projekt intend to reward loyal customers of the reputable RPG franchise by granting those in possession of The Witcher and its genre-defining sequel, The Witcher II: Assassin of Kings, a 5% discount should they choose to pre-order the forthcoming threequel through GOG.com.
Of course, there is also an additional SKU for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt in the form of the all-encompassing Collector’s Edition. This bundle in particular includes the contents from the standard edition along with a rather eye-catching statue of series protagonist doing what he does best, slaying monsters.
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, billed as the closing chapter in Geralt of Rivia’s story, is now due to launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 24th, 2015. And if February seems like just a speck in the distance at this point in time, be sure to whet your free-roaming appetite on this jaw-dropping trailer.
