Nintendo has officially announced that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be overloading our optical nerves with its breathtaking high definition cel-shaded graphics on October 4, 2013 when it launches for the Wii U.
Far from just a simple HD upgrade, The Big N has reworked several mechanics in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD to improve upon the original GameCube classic. Some of the more high profile changes/additions to the game include; a drastically streamlined Triforce fetch quest (players will now only be require to have three charts translated instead of eight), a “Swift Sail” that speeds up boat travel, an optional first-person perspective with full movement controls, and the Tingle Tuner has been remade into a Miiverse enabled “Tingle Bottle.”
We are still waiting to hear any word on the semi-confirmed The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle. Once Nintendo makes the official announcement we will report back with all the details.
