Early last month, Zenimax Online Studios brought its expansive MMO to consoles in the form of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. Dropping the controversial and mandatory subscription model, the transition heralded a new lease of life for Bethesda’s legendary series, and today the publisher has lifted the lid on its first major piece of DLC, The Imperial City.
Launching for PC and Mac first on August 31, the expansion won’t make its way onto consoles until the following month, when it’ll launch for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 15 and September 16, respectively.
[zerggaming]Those who still hold a subscription to The Elder Scrolls Online will get this extra content free of charge, whereas players who enjoy the mystical, interconnected realm of Tamriel free of charge will have to fork out 2,500 Crowns – the in-game currency. Available to purchase through Bethesda’s official store and participating retailers, the asking price for The Imperial City is likely to be around $20 (£13.50).
Promising new quests, PvP content and even weaponry, the maiden expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is certainly no slouch.
