Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin has announced that the popular Terminal multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be available “soon” on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as a free download.
Rubin confirmed the news on his Twitter account after video footage of the Terminal map leaked out late last month. The exact details of how and when the map will be released have not been announced, but Rubin has said that it will be “free for all users, both non-ELITE and ELITE Premium”, and will be released “within the next few weeks”. Rubin also stated that Terminal may be included as a title update, in lieu of DLC, and won’t necessarily be released on the Xbox 360 first.
An official announcement by Activision is expected to land Thursday or Friday. We’ll let you know as soon as it does.
