As you may have heard, The Walking Dead‘s sword-wielding heroine, Michonne, will be receiving her own miniseries from Telltale Games. Now, thanks to Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards, we know when to expect its debut episode.
Outed at last June’s E3 expo, the first episode, The Walking Dead: Michonne was just given a February 2016 release window. That means a bit of a delay from what we were once told, because when the miniseries was originally announced, it was slated for release this fall.
Comprised of three episodes, The Walking Dead: Michonne is set to explore what drove the fan favourite away from her group, and what made her come back afterwards. As such, it will take place between issues #126 and #139 of the zombie-filled comics. And, instead of being voiced by Danai Gurira — who portrays the character in AMC’s hit TV adaptation — our heroine will be played by Orange is the New Black alum Samira Wiley.
Expect to see The Walking Dead: Michonne as a downloadable option on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Mac, Android and iOS.
