The much-loved webhead game from 2017 is now coming to PC, with Spider-Man: Remastered coming soon to a whole new platform.
Announced at PlayStation’s State of Play, Spider-Man PS4 as it is colloquially known will be coming to PC with all of its DLCs later this year. The spin-off Miles Morales is also to launch alongside it on PC.
On the official PlayStation blog, Sony announced that the two entries so far into the Spider-Man video game franchise have sold over 33 million copies. An impressive innings for just a couple of entries, with a release of Spider-Man PS4 now on its way to PC surely to add to the figures.
The game picked up a range of plaudits from fans and critics, with it winning several Game of the Year editions, and leading into the Spider-Man: Miles Morales game.
The biggest part of its release onto PC will be the opening for fans to create the most ridiculous mods possible. As soon as it launches, it’ll be only a matter of hours before you can play as Thomas the Tank Engine instead of the webslinger.
Developer Insomniac is currently working on Spider-Man 2, as well as a Wolverine video game set in the same continuity as their PlayStation 4 hit. The Wolverine game is set to release on PlayStation 5, but hasn’t gotten a release window confirmed yet.
The two games will be launching on PC on Aug 12, 2022, but gamers can currently play it on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with both the original and the Miles Morales spin-off packaged into one.
