It only takes one fleeting glance at your go-to forum — or indeed Twitter — to gain a gist of how difficult From Software’s Bloodborne can be. Birthed from the same unforgiving formula as the Souls series, Hidetaka Miyazaki’s rich, Victorian cocktail is as punishing as it is rewarding, and boasts a tremendous amount of content.
For one speed-runner, though, the RPG proved to be somewhat of a breeze; in fact, YouTube userĀ Oginam_tv has uploaded a video of his playthrough that showcases him beating the entire game in a measly 44 minutes. Granted, said speed-runner did exploit a string of in-game glitches to accomplish such an eye-watering feat, but it still makes for an interesting watch.
Much like Dark Souls and Dark Souls II before it, there exists a bug within Bloodborne that, when exploited, allows players to bypass around half of the game. Whatever your opinion onĀ Oginam_tv’s method of approach, there’s no doubting his achievement – and within the game’s launch week, too.
“This was a pretty good run but I can certainly get faster,” he lamented.
From Software’s Lovecraftian title is a monster in every sense of the word, with harrowing boss battles, numerous secrets and the procedurally-generated Chalice Dungeons area. Of course, this speed-run in particular circumvents much of this content in favor of reaching the end goal in the fastest possible time. But what do you think of Oginam_tv’s blazing walkthrough? Indeed, what are your own experiences from Bloodborne? Let us know in the comments section below.
