We already know that the next iteration of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is on its way, but it may be closer to release than we thought. The ESRB has officially released their rating for the game, which means the game is either near release, or the ESRB is playing a horrible prank on us Sonic fans.
Surprise surprise, the new game is rated E for Everyone, which means the two of you that thought it might sneak by anything else have officially lost your bet. Time to cough up the cash.
Interestingly enough, the rating only lists PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Windows Phone versions. Which is odd considering the original game was also on iOS, Android devices and WiiWare.
And I still just think it’s weird that SEGA is really supporting the PC as a valid Sonic platform, but the more people who can play, the better.
No release date is known for Sonic 4: Episode II yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted if we hear anything.
What say you, gamers? When do you think the game will see a release?
