Saints Row IV will be Re-Elected and issue its Gat Out of Hell expansion one week earlier than planned, Deep Silver has announced. Now, instead of releasing on January 27, 2015, the sinful expansion and its game’s next-gen port will both hit shelves on January 20th. That’s a good thing, too, because it’ll give us time to get reacquainted with the Saints without having to worry about being tempted to play Dying Light. Well, for that week at least.
Gat Out of Hell will still carry a twenty-dollar price tag, while Saints Row IV: Re-Elected will hit next-gen with a fifty-dollar asking price. The latter package — which includes both the core game and Gat Out of Hell — will gift those who pre-order it on Xbox One or PS4 with two free DLC packs: The Devil’s Workshop and Plague of Frogs.
Finally, the trailer embedded at the top of this article is brand new, and is another promotional tool for Gat Out of Hell. The standalone Saints Row IV expansion touts weapons based on the Seven Deadly Sins, and that’s exactly what you’ll see within this brand new look. Don’t be fooled by its innocent, storybook-inspired intro, because it’s not long before exploding frogs, sprinkle-infused goo and lust-filled toxins are all used in murderous ways.
