Rockstar Games is yet to unveil any details regarding single-player content for its blockbuster sandbox title Grand Theft Auto V – and it looks set to stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Earlier this week, parent company Take-Two Interactive revealed its financial earnings report for the first quarter of its fiscal year. Here, the publisher noted that lifetime sales of the critically-adorned sequel have blown past 54 million copies since launch, though when you consider that this is a meagre 2 million jump from the previous earnings report, it seems sales for Grand Theft Auto V are finally – finally – beginning to plateau.

It’s worth noting that these numbers represent copies shipped to retailers, rather than sold-through to consumers, but it’s still impressive nonetheless. Of course, one way to rejuvenate sales would be to launch the sandbox title’s maiden story DLC, but Take-Two President Karl Slatoff didn’t offer any update on the much-anticipated release.

“In terms of DLC for GTA V, we really don’t have anything to say about that today,” he said.

Granted, this is Rockstar Games we’re talking about, a studio that’s danced to its own tune for generations; heck, we wouldn’t be surprised if it simply ghost launched Grand Theft Auto V‘s story DLC without much fanfare. There aren’t many video games with an install base of 50 million plus, after all.

On the other end of the spectrum, Rockstar continues to support Grand Theft Auto Online with frequent content updates – the latest of which was the Ill-Gotten Gains pack. Story content for Grand Theft Auto V, meanwhile, is still a ways away yet.
