While it’s not quite the June 10th release date that was rumored, Sony announced during tonight’s E3 2014 press conference that The Last Of Us Remastered will launch on July 29 for the PlayStation 4.
Accompanying the announcement was a new trailer for the re-release that showcases improved graphics that are made possible through the technical prowess of the PlayStation 4. The trailer also gives viewers a spoiler-filled run through not only the events of The Last Of Us proper, but also the recently released Left Behind DLC add-on. So, if you haven’t played through either of the two yet, it may be in your best interest to avoid the clip.
Much has already been said and written about The Last Of Us, and if you haven’t picked it up yet, you are doing yourself a major disservice. It was our Game Of The Year for 2013 and one of the finest and most engaging experiences of the last console generation, and I’m personally really looking forward to playing through it again come July 29.
