If you’re a big fan of horror games, chances are, you’ve already heard about the Five Nights At Freddy‘s series from your friends or seen some of the hundreds of videos all over YouTube claiming that it’s shit scary. For the uninitiated though, the Freddy games have been a huge indie hit and entail you taking up the role of the caretaker for a kids restaurant that houses some less-than-friendly animatronic animals that come to life at night.
As you’d suspect, it’s your job to stay alive in the face of the mechanical and furry onslaught by keeping tabs on each animals movement and reacting accordingly. And now, to celebrate the release of the original game in the series, Five Nights At Freddy’s 4‘s release date has been brought forward to August 8 – exactly a year to the day since the original came out on digital shelves. The original release date of October 31 – presumably set to capitalize on holiday sales – will now see the release of a free content update instead.
