NIS America has revealed that gamers will have to wait just a tad bit longer to get their hands on Natural Doctrine. Developed by Kadokawa Game Studio, the hardcore role-player is now scheduled to be released on September 30 in North America and October 3 in Europe.
A blend of Tactics Ogre-like strategy and the fiendish difficulty of Dark Souls, Natural Doctrine centers around the quest for Pluton, a highly-coveted material in the post-apocalyptic world of the game. On a routine search for the material, however, protagonist Jeff and his group of humans stumble upon a new band of evil forces. Now, the group must not only survive, but also warn the last human fortress of Feste of this new threat.
As we approach the one-year mark for the PlayStation 4, the console is still lacking in the RPG department. While Natural Doctrine is not your typical RPG, it should help fill the gap until the more traditional titles in the genre are released. With its brutal difficulty and cooperative multiplayer, I’m pretty excited to get my hands on the game when it launches at the end of September.
