Tru Blu Entertainment have today announced the release date for their upcoming world rugby game: Rugby Challenge 3. The title will be available via Steam and with physical releases for PS4 and PS3, as well as both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360.
Rugby Challenge 3 will be available across all platforms from April 22nd, and comes with a number of improvements over its predecessor. Firstly, the game will now include some of the best international teams and players from around the world including England, Australia and South Africa. Following the immense popularity of last year’s Rugby World Cup, this could be just the right time for a good international rugby game to hit the market.
And speaking of burgeoning popularity, Rugby Challenge 3 will also be looking to capitalize on the growth of another form of the game as it will bring Rugby Sevens to the mix for the first time. The fast-paced action of this exciting rugby competition will be perfect for the video game format, as adventurous running is a huge part of what makes it so exciting.
Along with these major additions comes the introduction of a FIFA-esque ‘Be A Pro’ mode, and there’s commentary provided by the likes of ex All Black international Justin Marshall.
Rugby Challenge 3 will be releasing in just over a month’s time, and PC players can still check out the demo of the game through Steam.
