Plush Art Of Overwatch Book And Hardcover Anthology Comic Spotted Online

Eagle-eyed users over on NeoGAF have spotted a particularly alluring slice of Overwatch memorabilia online. According to the preemptive listings that have cropped up on retailer Amazon, two separate editions of The Art of Overwatch are available - Standard and Limited - for $50 and $100 respectively. Both pages are still up and running, although it appears as if their corresponding images have been removed. Not to worry, though - you can find a picture of the Limited edition, which comes packaged in a luxurious clamshell box adorned with the silhouette of Tracer, below.

If admiring the results of Blizzard’s talented art team doesn’t quite cut it for you, a second book, The Overwatch Anthology: Volume 1 is also on its way, itself a hardcover anthology that collects the first 12 issues of Blizzard’s tie-in comic for a mere $20. Besides exploring the back stories of various characters like Tracer and Bastion with past issues, the comic has also provided hints and teasers for upcoming updates, including for the recently concluded Uprising event.

The Overwatch Anthology is scheduled to be released October 10, while both the Standard and Limited edition artbooks are due to follow later that same month on October 24.

Chances are, all of the above are being released to celebrate Overwatch‘s impending first birthday, but it’ll be interesting to see what the developer has planned for the game itself. It emerged last week that an Anniversary event, as well as a Game of the Year Edition, are both likely planned for release before the end of May, but we’ve yet to hear a peep out of Blizzard.

We expect an announcement to follow sooner rather than later, but in the meantime, let us know if you’ll be shooting to secure a pre-order for any of the new page-turners in the comments below.
