It seems Valve is feeling particularly generous of late, as the company has announced plans to run what has been described as “the largest Free Weekend” to date.

Long-term advocates of the client will be familiar with the limited promotion, which often allows players to download and enjoy a game free of charge. This time around, beginning on October 16th at 10am Pacific Time, Valve will open up access to ten titles including the likes of Payday 2, Injustice: Gods Among Us and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Here’s a list of those ten titles in question:

Awesomenauts
Blade Symphony
Company of Heroes 2
Don’t Starve
Grid 2
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Killing Floor
Payday 2
Trine 2
XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Much like previous promotions of its kind, users only need to have access to a Steam account and for those who like what they see, each of the aforementioned titles will be discounted throughout the weekend should you wish to pick up one of the games permanently. And though the company didn’t specifically state when this Free Weekend would come to a close, it’s expected that the promotion will last until Monday, October 20th at 10am PST.

Without reiterating the company’s own marketing speak, this line-up is certainly one of the best we’ve ever seen for a Free Weekend. In fact, there seems to be particular emphasis on co-op experiences, with the likes of Trine 2, Company of Heroes 2 and the rather excellent heist-infused shooter, Payday 2 presenting the perfect opportunities to play with friends.

Of course, those who are more inclined towards singe-player experiences need not fret, with Injustice: Gods Among Us and Klei Entertainment’s survival title Don’t Starve each offering hours upon hours of gameplay.

But ultimately, this Steam Free Weekend will leave you with one mildly troubling headache: which title will you play first?
