Hoping to steal some of the spotlight away from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Battlefield 1 and to a lesser extent, Titanfall 2, Blizzard is going to make Overwatch free to play next weekend, November 18th – 21st.
Given that the game has already amassed over 20 million players, we don’t imagine that there’s too many people who still haven’t jumped in yet, but if you are one of the unlucky few who for some reason hasn’t played Blizzard’s mega hit, this is a great chance to get in on the action and see what all the fuss is about.
[zergpaid]Like we’ve seen with free weekends for Overwatch in the past, players will have access to the full, 22-character roster in addition to all 13 maps. Furthermore, you’ll be able to test run all of the game’s modes except competitive play, which makes sense. If you do decide to dive in though and end up racking up XP and loot boxes, it’ll all carry over should you purchase the full game.
For more details on Overwatch‘s upcoming free weekend, head on over to the game’s official website. Trust us though when we say that this is the perfect opportunity to check out what’s no doubt been one of 2016’s best titles so far. Assuming you haven’t done so already, that is.
