It’s official. Philadelphia Flyers superstar Claude Giroux will grace the cover of EA Sports‘ NHL 13 when it launches this September. The talented and easy-to-like Canadian winger won the series’ first cover art poll, which attracted over 26 million fans, and proved to be a great success in the process.
After several rounds featuring the National Hockey League’s elite, it all came down to Giroux and Nashville Predators tender Pekka Rinne. Both were deserving of the honour, but only one could win, and it’s tough to argue with the results. Even though I’m not a Flyers fan, I’m happy with the choice, partially because I love those orange jerseys.
NHL 13 will lace up its digital skates on September 11 in North America and September 14 in Europe.
