Epic Games will be holding another open beta for its free-to-play MOBA Paragon from May 26-30, the studio has announced via a new gameplay trailer published on YouTube. To be able to play during the period, you’ll need to visit the official Paragon website and register (if you haven’t already) an account before applications close on May 25. If you already own an account, you don’t need to do anything, and should presumably receive a code by email before the beta starts.
The video description reads:
Get ready for the next Paragon Free Beta Weekend! From Thursday May 26 to Monday May 30 we’re opening the doors on Paragon to anyone who wants to hit the battlefields of Agora.
Paragon is the MOBA from Epic Games, available now on PC and PS4. Paragon puts you in the fight with explosive action, direct third-person control, and deep strategic choice.
Paragon is likely going to face some stiff competition with Gearbox Software’s Battleborn and Blizzard’s Overwatch when the full game launches later this year for the crown of best MOBA-themed shooter, but unlike those two, Epic Games’ efforts are more akin to the traditional formula of the genre.
As is the case with League Of Legends, DOTA 2 and SMITE, Paragon features lane-based gameplay that tasks players with holding control of the map in an effort to destroy the opposing teams central core, which is protected by various towers scattered throughout the arena.
