Oculus have revealed the full list of games you’ll be able to play on the Oculus Rift headset come launch day. There’s sure to be something to suit all tastes, assuming you intend to drop $600 on the device when it launches later this month.
The announcement on the company’s official blog reads:
We’re excited to announce the 30 VR games launching with Rift on March 28! This incredible lineup represents years of work from a global community of developers who are pioneering the future of VR. We’re working with thousands of developers on entirely new VR experiences. There are over a hundred more games coming to Oculus this year.
The news comes – no doubt intentionally – less than a day after Sony officially announced the price and release date of their competing device, PlayStation VR, to keep the hype and focus squarely on their device, which is less than two weeks away.
You can check out the full list of games that’ll be available on day one below.
Racers, first-person adventures, puzzlers and many more in-between, Oculus Rift will certainly have no shortage of software to back it up on March 28, but will its high price point keep it out of reach of consumers who are on the fence in regards to the new technology?
The sales figures for the device will be the first time analysts will get a good indication on whether VR technology will take off and become the next big thing. We’ll find out very soon, it seems.
