First teased at the beginning of October, Rocksteady has rolled out the November update for Batman: Arkham Knight, introducing fans of the Caped Crusader to costumes and a Batmobile modelled after those seen in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Launching today for season pass holders, the added content will then be available free of charge for all users from December 1 onwards. Much like the game’s previous story-based expansions – namely A Matter of Family and Harley Quinn’s prequel DLC – today’s update gives players the opportunity to control the supporting cast of Arkham Knight thanks to two new Arkham Episodes: Catwoman’s Revenge and Flip of a Coin.
Beyond that, there’s also the Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #4, a WayneTech Track Pack for those who enjoy the Batmobile challenge courses along with a Batmobile skin that pays homage to the Riddler.
[zerggaming]Looking to the future, and Rocksteady recently pinpointed DLC plans for Batman: Arkham Knight for early 2016. Entitled Community Challenge Pack, the fan-centric expansion is now due for a release in January. According to the developer, next year’s content pack incorporates some of the fan feedback that has been offered since the threequel’s launch back in June.
Per Rocksteady:
“We’ve been listening to you guys and one of the most interesting ideas the community has had is for an endless survival predator map. We made a prototype and ended up really liking it, so we’re bringing it to you in January.”
No word yet on whether the Community Challenge Pack will be bundled in with the $40 season pass for Batman: Arkham Knight or sold separately. What we do know is that PC players will be entitled to access the content “a little earlier” than those on consoles to compensate for the problems that have afflicted that game’s PC port.
