With a timer counting down on the teaser website FindMakarov.com and the Game Developers Conference starting on Monday, it seems we’ll be hearing our first piece of information about the next Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3 next Wednesday.
If you recall, Vladimir Makarov was the main antagonist in Modern Warfare 2. He was the man who killed and framed the player (then playing as a U.S. operative) after the massacre at the Moscow airport and we never did get a chance to repay him for that. I’m assuming we’ll get that chance come November but watch closely for more details on Wednesday.
UPDATE: An Activision spokesperson contacted IGN denying that the website was created by them. “There seems to be a great deal of speculation about the next Call of Duty project. Let me be clear that we are not revealing yet. Anything indicating otherwise is a hoax.” The spokesperson also said that Activision is not planning on revealing any games on Wednesday morning.
