Avalanche Studios’ chief creative officer and founder, Christofer Sundberg, may have left an important hint about the release dates for Mad Max and the unannounced Just Cause 3 in his online resume.
As reported by All Games Beta, Sundberg’s LinkedIn profile (as seen in the gallery image below) reads fairly straight forward until you get to the last two entries on his projects list. The first of the two mysterious listings is for an “unannounced open-world action game” that he has worked on from “January 2010 to present.” His description of the title states that it is a “licensed game, developed based on a well-known movie license.” Additionally, he notes that it is currently “scheduled for release in April 2014” on “current and next-generation console platforms and PC.”
While we can not say for certain that this is Mad Max, that game just so happens to be a “well-known movie license” that is currently set for a split-gen 2014 launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
The final entry on the projects list is an “unannounced sandbox action game,” published by Just Cause 2 publisher Square Enix, that is a “new installment in a very well-known game series.” This title, which is probably Just Cause 3, is scheduled to be completed in “June 2015 for next generation console platforms.”
For now, consider the alleged release windows for both Mad Max and Just Cause 3 to be nothing more than rumors. We will keep our eyes open for any official word on either game and let you know as soon as anything is announced.
