Japan Will Receive A 3DS Version Of Animal Crossing This Fall

Nintendo's popular cartoon life simulation series, Animal Crossing, will be making its way to Japanese 3DS devices. The cartridge will release this fall, and will be titled Tobidase Dobutsu no Mor. In English, that translates to Leap Out Animal Crossing - a rather strange title for an iteration of that series.

This news comes to us from Nintendo, which held a livestream conference today. Nothing was mentioned about an effort to localize the first party game for North American audiences, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that ends up happening. After all, the Animal Crossing series is pretty popular here. I spent well over a year playing the GameCube version on a daily basis, making sure to sign on at specific times for unique events and giveaways.
