The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth — an overhaul of 2011’s critically-acclaimed Flash game — will join November’s PlayStation Plus lineup for North America and Europe, if a comment made by the studio is to be believed.
According to Tyrone Rodriguez, the arcade-like title will be available free of charge for PS Plus members at the beginning of next month.
Taking to the PlayStation Blog to detail the upcoming remake, Rodriquez posted the following message in the comments section, which allegedly confirms Rebirth’s inclusion in November’s PS Plus selection.
“This is the PS+ November game for North America and Europe, so yes. We’ve developed the PS4 and Vita version in parallel and have made sure that the experience is as close to each other as possible. But keep in mind we’ve had to make some adjustments to buttons because PS Vita has two less shoulder buttons. No backtouch, don’t worry.”
Sony is yet to formally reveal any information for November’s PS Plus lineup and, realistically, isn’t likely to until the very end of October. Currently, that spot on the Instant Game Collection is occupied by Mossmouth’s Spelunky, so it would be appropriate if The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth — which bears certain similarities to the challenging rogue-like — replaced it when it releases next month across both Sony platforms.
Stepping back from the rumour and speculation, though, Rodriquez did confirm that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will feature cross-save upon release, meaning you can save you adventure from PlayStation 4 and continue on Vita or vice versa.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will indeed release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC on November 4th, and we’ll let you know whether or not Sony confirm its status as a IGC member for next month’s collection.
