Injustice: Gods Among Us has added two more fighters, Ares and Killer Frost, into the DC Universe character roster.
Yes, Ares is the god of war, but he’s not THE God of War. Ares is simply a Greek god in the world of DC Comics that holds an ongoing vendetta against Wonder Woman. Killer Frost, accidentally locked herself in a thermafrost chamber, which coincidentally altered her body to absorb heat and project ice.
The new character reveal trailer offers up the first gameplay footage for both DC alumni. Fans are given a taste of both otherworldly contenders’ very different play styles, and how each may possibly handle. Interestingly, both characters seem to possess a variety of attacks that can offer a range of fighting options for players. One distinctive difference between both fighters makes itself known within the video. Killer Frost utilizes an abundance of elemental projectile attacks while Ares seems to rely on his brute strength, and proximity, to render his foes obsolete.
These two realities seem to help distinguish each fighter individually, but ultimately fails to realize their full potential. Once you factor in the speed of their attacks it becomes clear that Ares and Killer Frost utilize an effective all around play style. We won’t know for sure until launch, but they could very well become your greatest resource during a range of different fighting situations.
Take a peek at the trailer below to see how both fighters will play in the final game. Seize the opportunity to study each character and formulate your own thoughts on how to play each supervillain.
