NetherRealm Studios and DC Comics have crossed universes again by dragging Scorpion into the waging battle of Injustice: Gods Among Us.
A new trailer shows off Scorpion in action and introduces the fighter by giving fans a glimpse into the approach that legendary comic artist Jim Lee took in redesigning the immortal warrior.
It seems that including Scorpion as part of the downloadable content may very well disappoint fans eagerly anticipating the next DC hero or villain. Sure, it’s great to see Scorpion completely redesigned by one of the best artists in the comic industry but ultimately, it feels too familiar. I’m looking at you Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe.
Adding Scorpion to the roster effectively eliminates a slot that could have been used to focus on traditional DC legends. Luckily, the team at NetherRealm have decided to tease a fan favorite from the DC roster and it’s none other than Martian Manhunter.
Scorpion will be ready to take on the best of DC Comics’ finest in the near future. There’s no sign of releasing the fighter for the Wii U, but you will be able to download Scorpion from Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points and PlayStation®Network for $4.99
