It’s time to sharpen the old hidden blades again. Ubisoft has confirmed that The Infamy, the first in a planned trilogy of downloadable single-player expansions for Assassin’s Creed III, is being made available today for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game, with the Wii U to follow shortly thereafter.
As the intro to the series collectively known as The Tyranny of King Washington, the DLC takes place in an alternate history where George Washington, upon helping America win the Revolutionary War, goes made with power and establishes a monarchy for himself. It’s up to Ratonhnhaké:ton, who apparently won’t earn the name Connor this time, to put a stop to Washington’s plans.
The expansion will be available individually for 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Marketplace, and $9.99 on other systems. There’s also a Season Pass bundle for 2400 Microsoft points or $29.99, which will contain the following episodes of the trilogy, The Betrayal and The Redemption, when they are respectively released on March 19 and April 23. The Season Pass also includes the previously released Hidden Secrets and Battle Hardened DLC.
