Without any fanfare, Ubisoft has pushed up the PC release of their post-apocalyptic survival title I Am Alive from its original September 13th launch date to September 6th, or as it’s more commonly known as, tomorrow.

The publisher didn’t formally announce the change, but the game’s release date has been updated on both Steam and Ubishop, so it’s a good bet that this is not a mistake.

The double secret last-minute release date change ends I Am Alive‘s strange development history, which started as the game being announced in 2008 as a full retail title. After the reveal, there were a couple of years of complete silence. Then it was pushed out on XBLA and PSN earlier this year, but not before Ubisoft vowed to never release it on the PC because “nobody would buy it”.

After all that, we now suddenly find ourselves on the eve of I Am Alive‘s PC release, and nobody knew about it because there wasn’t even a press release to announce the change.

At any rate, I Am Alive will apparently be up for download on Steam, Ubishop, and other PC retailers tomorrow for $14.99.
