As a branded release, Brothers In Arms: Furious 4 is no longer a thing, which is news that will probably be met with more cheers than jeers from the series’ faithful, due to the game’s focus on more over-the-top action than its assumed peers.
Today, Kotaku broke the news that Gearbox Software has decided to go in a different branding direction with the quirky shooter, after deciding that its ties to the strategical World War 2-inspired shooter series are insubstantial. As a result, the project has become a brand new intellectual property and does not yet have a new name.
When we hear anything about the game’s new name and/or its targeted release window, we’ll make sure to let you know.
