With an open beta test looming large on the horizon, developer Gearbox has revealed pertinent new details for its forthcoming hero shooter, Battleborn.
Chief among those tidbits is the minimum and required specs needed to run the genre mash-up on PC, which you can find below. Word comes by way of the official Battleborn blog, confirming that said PC version of the shooter will support PS4 and Xbox One controllers from the get-go, before compatibility with Valve’s Steam pad is made available after launch.
Beyond that, there’s also mention of an option that will allow color-blind players to tweak “enemy color, health bars, competitive objectives” and the like to suit their visual impairment, while a Hardcode Mode ramps up the difficulty to 11.
Gearbox describes the latter as so:
“When things get tough, make it tougher! If you’re up for a challenge, flip on Hardcore mode and jump into Story episodes for extra loot, all new unlockable content, and some really, REALLY tough fights.”
Launching with a roster of 25 eccentric heroes, Battleborn will be available across PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from May 3. Before that, an open beta will go live on Sony’s latter platform beginning April 8, before it opens up to Xbox One and PC on April 13. PC owners, meanwhile, can find the technical minutia below.
