Fortnite Season 8 is now in full swing, bringing with it a sunken shipload’s worth of pirate-themed booty to earn. As usual, most of the new suitably-themed cosmetics up for grabs are obtainable through completing the refreshed Battle Pass’ various challenges, but the cavalcade of new customization options to come has only just begun.
Thanks to the folks over at FNBR, we now have a clearer idea of Epic’s plan for Fortnite‘s cosmetic options for the near future, with over 30 new, unreleased items dredged up from the depths of its code via data-mining. New gliders, full outfits, pickaxe skins and emotes are in the works to be released at an as yet unspecified date, and we’ve compiled the whole lot into a gallery for your viewing pleasure below.
Somewhat surprisingly, given Season 8’s pirate theme, there seems to be very little in the way of cutlasses or peg legs. Instead, Epic appears to be shooting for Aztec and agricultural themed items, including sunflower-shaped Back Bling and a solid gold hoe. Several military-themed items have made the cut, too, including my personal favourite – an attack chopper glider. Probably a stretch to hope it has the built-in ability to fire off missiles while escorting the player to Battle Island, eh? Whether or not the above represents everything Epic has to offer as far as cosmetic go throughout Season 8 remains to be seen, but there’s certainly plenty here to keep fashionistas occupied for the weeks to come.
