These are most certainly the droids you’re looking for.
Microsoft and Lucas Arts partnered to unveil a new XBOX 360 Star Wars Kinect bundle today, at Comic-Con. Painted to resemble the white and blue decals of everyone’s favourite beep-boop robot, R2-D2, the console is sure to appeal to hardcore Star Wars fans. It will be combined with a golden controller resembling the metallic tones of humanoid robot C3-PO.
The bundle will be available this holiday season, putting a $449.99 sized dent into your pocketbook. Though, there’s a decent amount of content within, considering it contains the console, Kinect and a copy of Star Wars Kinect.
Here is a full list of contents expected to arrive within its boxed confines:
Kinect Star Wars game
Custom R2-D2-themed Xbox 360 Console with custom sounds (Hear them (MP3) – > Power on and Tray eject)
White Kinect Sensor
Custom C-3PO-themed Xbox 360 Wireless Controller
320 GB Hard Drive
Xbox 360 Wired Headset
Kinect Adventures game
Exclusive downloadable content
Gizmodo has a hands-on preview of the new console and its accessories.
Being a big fan of the film franchise, this certainly piques my interest. The look of the console is really awesome, especially with the little details like new blue LEDs around the power button. The white Kinect also fits in very nicely, looking better than its standard black and metallic combo look.
