As we inch closer and closer to The Game Awards 2015, there have been a flurry of announcements all designed to stoke the excitement ahead of the main event. Due to take place this Thursday, December 3, the annual awards ceremony will roll out the accolades for the greatest games of the year, of course, but there’s also a total of ten worldwide premieres in store, including Far Cry Primal and Remedy’s Xbox One exclusive, Quantum Break.
But beyond software, there will also be a “special announcement” reserved for hardware – specifically, the Oculus Rift. Due to release in Q1 2016, early signs point to Oculus and co-founder Palmer Luckey finally unveiling a price for the head-mounted VR device, though we’ll hedge our bets until the lights go down on Thursday.
Word comes by way of Geoff Keighley’s Twitter, where the host showcased a teaser video for The Game Awards 2015, detailing some of the announcements viewers can expect in only a couple of days’ time.
