The first major update of 2017 for The Elder Scrolls Online has just gone live today for the PC version of the MMO. Homestead, which is a free content patch, finally allows players to settle down andĀ find themselves a place to call home in the vast continent of Tamriel, bringing with it a whole host of customization and crafting options for aspiring interior designers. According to Bethesda’s initial release date announcement last month, Homestead introduces over 2,000 individual pieces of furniture and other decorative adornments for players to personalize their homes with, as well as 39 “uniquely-themed” homes in which to house them.
Affording players the opportunity to get their foot on the first rung of the digital housing ladder isn’t the only content included in the patch, either. In addition to new Master Crafting Writs, four new motifs and updates to PvP are part and parcel with the patch, as too, is a sweeping balance pass across all of ESO‘s classes and their respective abilities.
For those playing Bethesda’s MMO on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, Homestead is slated for release on February 21, so you’ve only got a couple of weeks left to wait. Think of it as a chance to prepare – you’ll need to stock up on materials if you want others to look upon your home with envy. Of course, for the rich among you, furnishings will also be purchasable with gold and/or Crowns (premium currency).
In other news, Bethesda last week unveiled the next major expansion headed to The Elder Scrolls Online‘s shores this summer. June 6 will mark the release of Morrowind on all platforms, and introduces a brand new landmass, as well as a new class: the Warden. See here for everything we know so far.
