EA have some very good news for you if you’re a fan of their vast library of games. From June 12-14, the company will be holding a new EA Play games event in London and LA to give fans more opportunities to play upcoming titles planned for release over the rest of the year.
For those of you living in London, the event will be held at The Mermaid venue on June 12 and, for Los Angeles, between June 12 and June 14 at the city’s Club Nokia. EA promises that attendees will have the chance to play demos of its newest games, be eligible to win prizes and snag some swanky mementos.
If you’re unable to attend either event, don’t be too down in the dumps, as both will be streamed online, with press conferences due to be held on June 12. As part of the announcement, an EA spokesperson said that:
Our players are the driving force behind everything we do. So this summer, we’re opening up our world to you with unique new live events in Los Angeles and London. We’ll bring the new games, we’ll bring the demos, we’ll bring the competition… and you get to go hands-on. Or join us online and immerse yourself to experience some of our biggest games of the year. Let’s live to play together.
Bizarrely, this year’s E3 event begins just a few days after the date in which EA Play is due to end which, while obviously held close on purpose to capitalize on all the hype generated by gaming’s biggest event, is surely going to stretch the company thin.
Either way, more chances for fans to get an early hands-on with their most anticipated titles can only be a good thing, right?
