Xur’s back for another weekend of wheeling and dealing in Destiny, but where’s he decided to set up shop and, more importantly, is the Agent of the Nine selling anything worth the visit? By now, I imagine most long-standing Guardians have probably completed their collections of Exotic weapons and armor, but even if that’s the case, there’s always the opportunity to stockpile some additional Three of Coins for all your PvE needs, so don’t neglect to pay the Agent of the Nine a visit just yet.
Having grown bored of Earth and the Tower over the last couple of weeks, Xur’s made the trip to the Reef this weekend and as usual, he’s got a piece of Exotic gear on sale for each of the Hunter, Titan and Warlock classes as well as an Exotic weapon.
Check out the full inventory below:
Legacy engram (Body armor) – 29 Strange Coins
Empyrean Bellicose (Titan helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
Knucklehead Radar (Hunter helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
Nothing Manacles (Warlock gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins
Truth (rocket launcher) – 17 Strange Coins
Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins
The pick of the bunch this time as far as armor is concerned is probably the Nothing Manacles gauntlets. While they’re certainly not the best pick to fill the gauntlet slot for Warlocks – Ophidian Aspect is arguably the top dog – the extra Scatter Grenade charge they provide could well prove to be the difference between life and death, especially in the Crucible, where they’re especially effective. As for Knucklehead Radar and Empyrean Bellicose, neither is particularly special. The unique perk for the former – keeping radar while aiming with primary weapons – is largely useless now, thanks to the new artifacts introduced with Rise of Iron.
Xur leaves Destiny‘s shores on Sunday, February 12, so don’t leave it too long to pay the vendor a visit. Now more than ever, however, it might be best to unload your Three of Coins on purchasing Heavy Ammo synths, what with the shooter’s final ever sandbox update, Age of Triumph just a few weeks away. You’re going to need all of those rocket rounds for your return visit to Crota’s End and Vault of Glass, I’m sure.
